KALEA, KAYSON, TEEGAN, KOBE, AND BRYTON

We had a lot of fun playing with my family today. We always have a great time when we get together. This year we hung out at my brother Nathan's house. We had a great Ham dinner. If you read my tag. Mmmm.... that is my favorite. Every Easter my parents put together an egg hunt. Each kid has their own color egg that they have to find, that way it prevents punches being thrown. J/K. Some of the eggs have prize tickets in them and one of the prizes they always get is silly string. It is so much fun every year to see them get in a silly string war. They all like to tag up on kalea because she is the only girl but they are good sports about letting her get them also. We love to color eggs together. It's fun to see how creative they can get, or what they write on them they can get a little crazy with they write on them. I don't think my nephew Kayson would like me very much if I told you what he wrote on his, but they were pretty funny.
Another thing we love to do as a family is play Rock Band. If you have never played this boy are you missing out. It's Awesome. You have a lead singer, a drummer, a lead guitar and if you have another guitar they can play bass. I never thought I would like to be the singer but it's way fun. As you can see in the picture my sister is getting pretty into and rockin' out. I am not very good at it but it's still a blast. My brothers are pretty into it so if you are not very good they like to kick you out of their band, so it's a little intimidating.
I bet you are wondering whose chicken legs those are and what is this picture all about. Casey is going to kill me for posting this but I thought it was hilarious. Today Casey and Nathan were playing some intense basketball, first I saw their shirts hanging on the fence and thought oh great they are playing with their shirts off I am going to go spy on them and get a blackmail picture. So as I sneak up they still had their undershirts on so I was a little disappointed. Just then Casey turns around and has a huge tear down the back of his pants, and it continued to get worse as the intense game went on. After the game me and my nephews thought it would be funny to finish off the off, so we did and this is what he had left to deal with.

Easter Fun
After the hunts we went over to Albertson's where they had a little setup where you could decorate and personalize you own little egg shaped cakes. She had all sorts of frosting and decorations for her eggs, and had a lot of fun making one for her and her cousins.

FIRST STEPS
Finally! Kobe finally started walking. My friends at work thought I was crazy because I told them Kobe was going to be grounded if he was not walking at 10 months. Not really I was just anxious. The reason for that was just as soon as Kalea turned 10 months she was walking and by the end of the 10 months she was practically running. Well Kobe was 10 months and all he would do is stand forever then fall and crawl as fast as he could across the room. So on Feb. 28th the d
ay before he turned 11 months he finally started walking, so no he did not get grounded. He is so stinking cute all he does as he walks around is just giggle because he thinks he's so cool. It has been hard for me because I compare him to Kalea and want him to be doing everything she was doing at certain ages, it's hard for me to realize they are different. I remember exactly how Kalea was on her 1st birthday and one more week until Kobe is one. How time flies. :(

Wild Winter!
Wow! What a winter we have had here in Utah. every year I would catch myself saying "I wish we could have a winter like when we were kids." I remember when I was a
kid I would walk out my front door after a snow storm and the snow would be up past my knees, and we would always get snowed in from school. I remember waking up in the morning and if it snowed we would sit by the ra
dio to see if our school was closed. There is no way that would happen now. I sure enjoyed winter this year but I am now glad it has come to an end. Our favorite activity this winter was tubing. (besides snowboarding for Casey and Kalea) We have not had snow stay long enough in the valley to be able to go tubing in the neighborhood, but this year we would go tubing up behind the new Syracuse High school football stadium. It was a lot of fun. We would spend half of the afternoon building jumps to go off of. It was a lot of work pulling all that snow up the hill.
For all of you that don't know I work in a Pediatric dental office, and for the past couple years we have gone up to Snowbasin for a day out on their tubing hill. It is so much fun. All you do it hook
your tube to a tow rope and it pulls you up a huge hill and when you get to the top you jump back in your tube and cruise
down the hill. We have had a lot of fun with this. There are many people that go so we socialize while enjoying donuts and hot chocolate. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Snowboarding Pals
For all of you that don't know Casey really well he loves Snowboarding. He has been counting down the days since Kalea was born to take her snowboarding. She went on
ce or twice last year but this was her first real season to learn. Her first couple of times she did pretty well, considering. But it only took her a couple of times to become pretty darn good. Casey has tried to take her up at least once a week and she loves it. One day I called him to see when he was
coming home and he told me they were on the lift and were coming home after one more run. Two hours later I call him to see where he is and he was still on the slopes because there was no way she was coming home. She was having to much fun. It was hard for me to believe she was as good as he said, so after our tubing trip to Snowbasin I went over to watch her. As
she came down the hill, I hate to say this but my eyes swelled. It was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen her do, and she was dang good. I am so proud of her. Casey is so glad he has a partner to go with now. He still goes every week with his friends though. I do not snowboard but I would love to learn someday. Maybe when Kobe is old enough to learn, I will learn with him.

Merry Christmas
What a fun Christmas we had this past year, Kobe was at a very fun stage. Most babies just like to play with the paper. Not this little guy, all he wanted to do was play with everything his sister got. He was only
8 months old and already knew how to get under his sisters skin. She is pretty good with him but she is very protective with her toys. As with most holidays we have our family traditions. On Christmas Eve we get together with my family for an early lunch or breakfast then decorate cookies to leave for Santa. Usually I bake cookies but I found some granny B's cookies at Roberts Crafts that looked much better than mine and thought th
ey would be a lot more fun to decorate. Boy were they delicious. We then open a new pair of pajama's. I love pajama's so these are my favorite presents to open. Then that night we go to Grandpa Cherries (as Kalea would call him) to have dinner and open presents from
him. It is a lot of fun. Here are some pictures many of you will enjoy seeing of you and your kids. The kids also get matching pj's
and they love it. Kalea does not have any girl cousins so when she gets to play with Taylee and Hallie she is in heaven and never wants to leave.
On Christmas morning we open presents, cook breakfast, then go to my parents to celebrate with my brothers and sister. Our family is growing and is now up to 15 people. We had a very eventful day.
These were Kalea's favorite gifts.
