This year for Kalea's birthday we thought we would take a family trip to Disneyland. We stayed in Anaheim for one week. What an adventurous week we had we did three days of Dis
neyland, Universal Studios, Sea World, and went to Newport Beach. We left Kobe home with his Grandparents so what a long week we had without him. It was a lot of fun for Kalea to have that one on one time with her mom and dad again. She was also lucky enough for her Uncle Jason and Aunt Cassandra to join us for a few days after they arrived back in California after their cruise.
Kalea loved many of the rides some of her favorite's were the Tea Cups for sure, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Soaring over California, and Finding Nemo. We could not get her to ride Splash Mountain, I don't know if she was tall enough anyways. We did make her go into the Haunted Mansion and The Pirates of the Caribbean, that did not go so well. She actually loved the Haunted Mansion by the time we were done but she was not going to do the Pirates again that was a little to much for her. It is really
One of the days we were in Disneyland was on Kalea's actual Birthday. What fun we had. As you can see in the picture up top she makes a very cute Minnie Mouse. She had to be all decked out to meet her. They even have these pins there that you wear that says it's your Birthday. So boy did she get a lot of attention. The highlight of her day was we went to a show called Talkin' with Crush. (The turtle from Finding Nemo) You go into this little theater with this big screen and Crush comes out and swims on the screen and talks to the audience. Well he chose Kalea to talk to that day. He asked her name and when she told him Kalea, he said "I am going to call you Cowabunga Kalea." Then he asked if it was her "Hatch Day." Then he humbed her Happy Birthday by saying Dude da Dude dude da Dude and so on. It was hilarious. I wish I knew how to download videos because we caught it all on video. If you ever go to California Adventures I highly recommend this It was great. One other thing that was her favorite was at C.A. they had a High School Musical 2 show, I swear we watched this 5 times. And she still wanted to watch it more.
We ate at many fun restaurants while in California. For kalea's Bithday we ate at Goofy's Kitchen. It was very fun for her but VERY expensive. It was about $30 a plate! But anything for our little girl. They
